Here's something to think about when looking for a car loan.

Often car companies will offer you what appears to be an extremely low downpayment on the vehicle you want to buy. If it looks too good to be true, it probably is. In many cases the vendor will try to make up for the lower down payment with a higher rate on the car loan, or a longer length on the car loan. So be prepared to shop around. And if you do insist on your own financing package, watch what happens to that downpayment amount. It might suddenly change.

Always compare different loan agreements before making a final decision. Rates and fees can be significantly different from one company to another.
