Remember this hint when looking for your next car loan. If you are financing the car at a bank, credit union, or even a car dealership, the Federal Truth in Lending Act requires that the company disclose to you the terms of the loan. They must advise you the total amount of the loan, the monthly finance amounts, the annual interest rate, pluse the amount and due dates of future payments. And remember, if there are late fees, they have to disclose those too.

Always compare different loan agreements before making a final decision. Rates and fees can be significantly different from one company to another.
