Before going into a car dealership or company that sells used cars, get a copy of your credit report. Note your credit card score. The higher your score, the lower the annual percentage rate of interest you can command. If you know what your score is, and someone tries to charge you a higher interest rate than you believe you deserve, ask them what your credit score is. If their number doesn't agree with yours, show them your credit report and contest the issue. If you can't get satisfaction, shop somewhere else.
